US considers releasing emergency oil reserves to bring down fuel prices.

US energy secretary Jennifer Granholm is considering releasing crude oil from the government’s strategic petroleum reserve, declaring that “all tools are on the table” as the Biden administration confronts a surge in the price of gasoline along with inflation in all parts of the economy.

This is not the first time the Government has done this.
