How will the Coronavirus affect oilfield workers and the oil industry?

As the Coronavirus spreads throughout the world, Oil prices have been taking a beating.  How are oilfield workers coping with the Coronavirus epidemic? Oilfield workers often travel great distances while getting to and from a work hitch, many times using international airports to get to their destination.

The Period of communicability is thought to be 14 days from the time of infection and has been said to show no signs of infections in most people tell it’s too late.

Most of the victims have been over 4o years of age. The trade body Oil and Gas UK found in their ‘Workforce Report‘  the average age of Oilfield workers is 42.7

It’s also important to note that the Common flu is more deadly, Though the Coronavirus could see a mass uptick the following weeks that could show the Coronavirus doing more damage, at of the time this blog post was written The CDC estimates that as many as 56,000 people die from the flu or flu-like illness each year.
