Senate Majority Leader Steve Fenberg and House Speaker KC Becker say the legislation, Senate Bill 19-181, changes the mission of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from fostering development to regulating the industry in a way that protects public health and safety, wildlife and the environment. If these two Boulder lawmakers don’t want drilling, etc. in their city, fine. Put a moratorium in place, but leave the rest of the state alone!!!!! Boulder has no right to speak for the rest of the state.
