FRACKING IN COLORADO

Colorado Senate Bill 181 was introduced Friday by Majority Leader Steve Fenberg, D-Boulder, and co-sponsored in the House by Speaker KC Becker, D-Boulder. It will be heard before the chamber’s Transportation and Energy Committee on Tuesday.- gazette.com

Senate Majority Leader Steve Fenberg and House Speaker KC Becker say the legislation, Senate Bill 19-181, changes the mission of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission from fostering development to regulating the industry in a way that protects public health and safety, wildlife and the environment. They say it would also modernize state regulations that haven’t kept pace with technology that has expanded the industry’s reach and ability to access oil and gas in more places.- denverpost.com

  1. If these two Boulder lawmakers don’t want drilling, etc. in their city, fine. Put a moratorium in place, but leave the rest of the state alone!!!!! Boulder has no right to speak for the rest of the state.
