  1. Oasis Well Services Management could certainly do a better job investing in employees professionally and paying attention to their needs concerning making them a better employee and retaining their labor force. They should value their employees more. Particularly allowing those with potential and the desire to move up.

  2. A typical day would include assembling and/or disassembling iron pipe, connecting hoses and monitoring flow and pressure. I learned how to become an efficient equipment operator for the fracturing process of oil wells and how to control well pressure through the use of various types of equipment. This job was team oriented and had a great sense of comradery. The hardest part of the job was working under extreme and severe weather conditions. The extreme cold would affect equipment not working properly. The most enjoyable part of the job was finishing the work on a well ahead of or on schedule.

  3. This was a great place to work. Management was very nice and helpful with various issues that would occasionally arise. The salary was excellent and allowed comfortable living.

  4. With less than 2,00 people, Oasis is a relatively small O&G company. Over three quarters of the employees live and work in Williston, N.D., with a handful in the corporate office in Houston. As a whole, the company is young, from both an employee standpoint, as well as a company culture. The majority of the employees in the corporate office are still new to the workforce, either straight from college,or with only a couple of years experience in the oil and gas industry. It is the same with middle management. The culture was not what I was accustomed to in a professional atmosphere.

Compensation is fair. Pay is above average and health benefits comparable. While bonuses seemed competitive against other companies, the employee stock program left me baffled.

It is a decent company for those starting out in the industry. The only downside is that if they were to move to older and more established O&G companies, they would realize everything they learned would have to be scrapped and there would be a huge learning curve to overcome.
